The name is SassylovesElvis, and for good reason! LOL...I am sassy, and I do love Elvis!!!  I was searching for Elvis sites when I ran across this one and after looking over the forum, it seemed like the place for me...so here I am!

 

I have been a devoted Elvis fan for as far back as I can recall.  My parents were big fans, so I guess I kind of inherited it!  Elvis and his music has had a huge impact on my life.  My Father was a wonderful musician in his early life, unfortunately illness has robbed him of his ability to play and sing now,,  but in his younger years he was very similar to Elvis both in vocal ability and style.  Honestly, he could do a killer impersonation of the King!!  But that isn't surprising since he was always a huge EP fan..you know what they say about immitation!  Anyway, I have a tremendous love of music, and I have always considered Elvis the #1 all time performer.  I always wanted to sing professionally...and when I was a teenager I used to imagine how it would be if I were one of Elvis' back-up singers...needless to say, I spent a lot of time listening to his songs and learning to harmonize with his voice.  I still sing along with him...I probably always will.

 

I have always tried to learn as much about the King as I possibly could.  What a wonderful human being he was!   I regret that I never got to see him perform in person...I can only imagine what that would have been like!  I am setting my sights on Graceland in '08, since I have not been there yet.  I look forward to walking where he walked...experiencing his life in some minute way...and feeling that overwhelming presence that so many visitors have reported feeling!  I get goose-bumps just thinking about it!! 

 

So that's my story in a compressed form...lol.  As my husband will tell you, "it's all about Elvis"!   I hope to connect with others who love EP as much as I do, and I look forward to getting to know each of you.  Feel free to get in touch with me...

I too am a great lover of Elvis. Seen him in person several times here in So Cali. Just awesome performer and what a show. I have been a fan since I was 12  and have been collecting anything beautiful of Elvis mormorabilia. I belong to several on line groups and co- mod of one. It is exciting and thrilling ==learn new sutff daily. I have also met Joe Esposito, Sonny West etc.

Its really great to meet someone who is just sassy about Elvis. he was a handsome, generous and loving man. Listen to his music daily and play his vids
