If nothing else . . . Stay calm! Updated 5 hours ago 'Stay calm,' the financial experts are saying all over the world and right here in Grey-Bruce as the stock markets plunged and lost multi-billions of dollars ... 'Were there financial markets still operating when that happened? Were investors advised to stay calm? Was it the end of the world, even then? Yes it was, in the western world at least, as the Dark Age fell over Europe for hundreds of years. A few Irish Christian monks living on a small island off the coast of Ireland kept the spirit of western civilization alive. In no small way we have them to thank for Bach, Beethoven, Shakespeare and Elvis Presley.' Isn't the Internet educational?

March 2004 Dolores Hart was a movie star on the rise when she turned her back on her career and found a new calling at The Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem. Although an old article it is News to me and probably millions of other Elvis fans. The article is well worth a read.

'Loving You' in 1957 and 'King Creole' 1958. Dolores's life story is a ready made story awaiting an imaginitive scriptwriter. What a movie it would make!

On the 15th January 2008 Bonhams of Knightsbridge London will Auction 1961 hand-written letters sent from Elvis Presley to an Irish couple. June 1997 the 'News of the World' did a two page story on the Elvis letters. More than ten million people read the story in the UK and Ireland.
